Fish Ordering & Quarantine Services
Quarantine and Disease Management Services
We offer structured quarantine services designed to reduce the risk of introducing pathogens into established aquarium systems. Our quarantine program targets the five most common marine fish diseases: marine ich (Cryptocaryon irritans), marine velvet (Amyloodinium ocellatum), brooklynella, uronema, and flukes (monogenean trematodes).
Standard quarantine consists of a 30-day observation and treatment period. Additional quarantine days are available at an extra cost when extended monitoring is requested or medically necessary.
Services include:
• Prophylactic quarantine protocols when appropriate
• Targeted treatment for diagnosed diseases
• Close monitoring of fish behavior, appetite, and response to treatment
• Stable water quality management during the quarantine period
Customers should understand that when a known infectious disease is present, a fallow period may be required in the display aquarium. A fallow period is a defined span of time during which the display tank remains without fish hosts, allowing disease organisms that require fish to complete their life cycle and die off naturally.
All quarantine and treatment practices follow established, widely accepted aquarium health protocols and are not experimental in nature. These practices are performed by certified biologists at CapitalCoral and are not conducted directly by First Due Aquatic Rescue.
Livestock Special Orders
While we do not house fish for retail in-store, we can special order livestock from trusted suppliers and provide inspection and quarantine services upon arrival.
Pricing is subject to change based on supplier availability and current market pricing.
